Mobile Device Management (MDM) is software that allows control, security and enforcement of policies on smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. MDM is a core component of enterprise mobility management (EMM) which also includes mobile application management, identity and access management and enterprise file sync and share. The intent of MDM is to optimize the functionality and security of mobile device while minimizing cost and downtime.
MDM functionality includes over-the-air distribution of applications (and updates), data and configuration settings for all types of mobile devices, including mobile phones, smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.
Within the Vertel PTT operational environment the use of the Vertel provided MDM service is not compulsory but we recommend its use as a means of restricting users loading applications which may potentially impact the operation of the Vertel PTT services whilst improving the efficiency of application(s) updating.

Yes, a 12-month warranty period applies to your Push To Talk device (“the Devices”).
Please be aware that the Devices come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the Devices, you are entitled (i) to cancel your Contract; and (ii) to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with the Devices. If a failure with the Devices does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the Devices and to cancel the Contract for the Vertel PTT service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the Devices. Device(s) presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished devices of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the Device(s). Please contact your Channel Partner noted on the Contract to claim a warranty in relation to a Device or for further information. These warranties are addition to other rights and remedies of the Customer under a law in relation to the Devices to which the warranty relates.
